We started as a freight forwarding house in New Delhi in 1977. What we're known for today is different: managing the moves that other companies find too complicated, too paperwork-heavy, or too sensitive to be trusted with.
Ashoka International began, in 1977, as a customs house and freight forwarding agency. Over the decades that followed, a specific kind of client kept returning: foreign missions and government departments whose household and office moves carried duty exemptions, protocol formalities and a level of confidentiality that ordinary movers weren't equipped to manage.
That work reshaped the company. We built an in-house team of certified customs specialists rather than relying on outside brokers, trained our operations staff to ISO standards, and made confidentiality a default procedure rather than a special request. The freight forwarding, warehousing and exhibition logistics business grew alongside it — run to the same standard.
Today we serve diplomatic missions, government departments, multinational corporations and private households, from the same New Delhi office, under the same name, forty-plus years on.
